Well fitted carved horn handles as shown. What makes to set very interesting is the hand scrawled note pinned inside the case that explains the knives were a souvenir from a captured city in France I can only imagine the extent of looting and pillaging that must have occurred in war torn Europe- this lovely old set of knives being just one example.
Showing their age however each knife remains in good overall shape. The case rather more battered. Each knife is 8 inches (20cm) Weight in case 520 Grams.
