Very scarce Gerber Lioness handled Balmung Carving knife. 50 total; that's it! I acquired these and some other rare items from the collection of a long time Gerber employee. This is the rarest of the rare stuff and is right in the middle of the three scarcest Gerber knives that I know of. Condition is excellent to near mint.
Knife is unused with very light signs of storage marks. The blade has a few light scratch marks - near the top, non-cutting side of the blade, and back by the handle. I actually have four of these knives and all of them have the same marks, pretty much in the exact same positions, so I imagine this is factory oriented. The handle is in excellent shape, with none of the rust, pitting or pock marking so common with Gerber's chrome handles. There is some light rub marks or tarnish at the back end where the handle comes to a point.
This may polish out with some Flitz, Mothers Mag or whatever polish you like to use, but I have not touched them with anything. You get them as I got them - unaltered and fresh from the factory 65 years ago! Listing is for one knife. Please review all of the photos as they are part of the description. Photos will supersede any written descriptions in case I missed noting anything or made an error in what I did write, so please look closely and ask questions if in doubt.
